INDA, Association of the Nonwoven Fabrics Industry, has appointed Brad Kalil as the new director of market research and statistics. Kalil will be joining INDA effective April 22. INDA’s previous director of market research and statistics, Ian Butler, retired in 2012. Kalil previously served as senior quantitative research analyst for The Hartman Group, advising the world’s best known brands on consumer demand and market strategy. Prior to joining The Hartman Group, Kalil had a number of market research/analyst roles in the specialty pulp, tissue and hygiene markets. He also worked for RISI and spent seven years with Weyerhaeuser in market research and business intelligence with many of his customers being the largest hygiene producers in the world. “Brad Kalil has clearly demonstrated his ability to extract and analyze information and provide useful reports and insights,” says Dave Rousse, INDA president. “He is an excellent writer and presenter and will fill this important role that was left when Ian Butler retired. We truly valued Ian’s contributions and appreciated his ability to collect information and package it in such a way as to give companies strategic, actionable information. He has generously agreed to participate in Brad’s orientation to INDA and this role. We feel confident that Brad will take up Ian’s mantle and deliver timely, relevant information to our membership.”
